What defines a good leadership?

A question i have analysed many times over, enough to growl and stare into space unknowingly at times.

I must admit that this job is the most challenging yet. Not that i have a rich prior experience to compare to. But being thrown in the deep ocean to swim by myself aka to lead during crisis has changed me. Somehow.

Imagine having to deal with 03 major incidents back to back (major meaning it warrants the higher management's interest) and crossing over midnight on my birthday with tons of reports!

Remember that recent commotion incident because of a flight delay that happened at the airport?



Oooh yeah. This was my worst case to date. So goin into my books of bad history. Still traumatizing!

And all of these rolled in as i was being covering when my team leader took leave. Just what kind of coincidence is that?!
Swim honey swim!

To add, you are expected to think on your feet, be answerable to your team's mistakes, be the answer during crisis, correcting their mistakes while maintaing that good balance, and to top it off with a cherry, truth is, you may not even get any credit at the end of the day.

Sh** does hits the fan sometimes.

Somehow it just isnt as simple as ABC with the idea of barking instructions to your colleagues anymore huh.

But, like my favourite motto i gave to myself when you feel like the tide is going against you,

remember,

There's More to Life Than This.

And no, i did not just copy that by walking straight to the library to borrow books on positive psychology. Or a book on happiness at work. Or meditate. A lot.




So, are you a good leader? :)

The energy on stage was incredible.

The screams from so many fans affirmed my interest in her music even more.

And to think of all places in tiny Singapore, i get to bump into my ex-colleague at the concert, which is considered non mainstream.

And most of all, i get to attend the concert with my favourite person! :)


It was funny how i transformed into a giggly girl yellin and singing at the top of my lungs to her songs in a split second.

Lykke li IS amazing.

So, what's a crazy fan to do?

Dash to the queue for her autograph of course!

Pity that we arent allowed to take with her our smiley zealous faces for a picture.

But OMG.

Huggin her was da bomb.

It was kinda familar yet refreshing to know how that embrace ignites the breath of freedom i once had when i was in the states exactly 2 years ago.

It sets me free.

Her free spirited dancing translates into passion like what the horse did in Equus.

I'm still searching for that oomph factor.

And Lykke Li just takes it one step nearer :)

I was so crazy over it i got my colleagues baffled who the hell she is, and rushed home after nightshift to wait patiently in front of my computer, refreshing the page a gazillion times before i snatched the 88 bugs ones.

I'm tellin ya, it's sellin like hot cakes! All CATS freakin sold out except for CAT 4. They have like, what, single seats left? :D

Ok i think both of us were prolly the only 2 giggly girls when we walked into the waiting lounge for the play. I mean, all the audience are like so poised and artsy, or at least they pretend and appear to be.

Even the old dude, about 70 years old wears like suspenders, crisp white shirt, waist high brown pants so high it reaches his breast, and round-rimmed glasses. Is that your cool grand daddy or what.

Ya uh. Am i right or am i right??!

Or maybe, he just, erm checked out of Yangzhe cinema or something along that line.

Ok. Actually there's this super irritating lady sitting next to me, who swung her scarf in such a wide angle like she's in some sort of movie, and then in the middle of the play, fondle with a sweet wrapper when everyone was focusing and it was a bloody quiet atmosphere!

Why do you come. Really?

Go back to prancing around Chanel and spraying those sample perfume please.

Right. Movin on, I kinda cheated and read the prologue before i went in so i dont get lost in the midst of the literature spats. It's interesting.

It gets my insatiable insane inner beast growling for something bigger than life.

And of cos,

with the ending leaving the audience well, you know, hanging. lol



That's what his stare has been saying to me all this time: 'At least I galloped--when did you?'

Lovin the prawning session with the cuzzies. It's my first time and i'm hooked!:)


Feelin disgusted cos i had to attach the smelly, bloody clam pieces as bait, waiting for nearly 1.5 hours before the first catch (i know right), jubilant cos of a hugeee one at the last 30mins, pissed cos the guy next to us caught a big one barely 5 mins in his seat when he just started, and then another one in his 15th min seating, the 3 of us screaming our heads off with a lot of wtfs cos a huge cockroach crawled beneath us, and then giggling cos the dude on the other side bravely caught it and threw it in the pond! :D


So planning another one! Oww!
